I thought about romance lately. Sure, Valentine’s Day and Dragobete Day are coming, but I never considered myself romantic. At least not in that classic way.
I reread my article from last year, and I noticed that my recommendations were kinda… different. The most romantic thing I could think of was the Astronomic Observatory. This is what I understand by romanticism: be authentic, sensitive, vulnerable.

That’s why I don’t like candle light dinners and roses. They are so cliche and they don’t speak about the other person’s sensitivity. I prefer a trip in nature or somewhere less known.

I’d return to Bucovina, and I’d wander in all that brilliant villages. When I came back home (from that trip), I could have sworn that I could have lived there for at least two month. I’d rent a room at the locals, I’d eat sandwiches and make coffee with an immersion heater. That’s what I call romantic.

Asta gasesc romantic.
I’d travel to Bucegi, I’d take a deep breath, I’d take a walk into the woods and eat a ciorbă at Curmătura hut. Here, in Bucharest, you’re really missing the nature. It’s something about nature. It makes you remember about yourself. And this is very romantic: two people who found themselves in nature, sensitive, vulnerable, deeply in love.

And you know what’s also romantic? To make such a personal gesture for another person, that you feel naked even though you’re still wearing your winter clothes.
